Mr. V D Sharma earned his masters degree in structural engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. Mr. Sharma is well-known in Delhi-NCR area for his commitment towards his work and direct involvement with all the projects. During last 20 years, Mr. Sharma, in his capacity as a Structural Engineer, has contributed significantly towards real estate developments in Noida-Ghaziabad region, one of the most sought after real-estate region in the country. He has successfully delivered on more than 400 projects, located throughout India. Mr. Sharma previously worked for Indian Railways and RITES Ltd. before founding his own structural engineering firm, Optimum Design Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Mayank Sharma earned his masters in structural and earthquake engineering from University of California, Los Angeles and his bachelors from Delhi College of Engineering. In addition to commercial design work, Mr. Sharma devotes significant amount of time to research and learning. As a member of Prof. Burton's research group (http://www.henryburtonjr.com/) , he is involved with latest academic research focusing on buildings typical of Indian construction. Being involved with the group initially as a student and currently as a practicing engineer, he worked on collapse performance of reinfoced concrete infill moment frame buildings when subjected to mainshocks and mainshock-aftershock earthquake sequences. The buildings were located in Noida and subjected to ground motions scaled to siesmic hazard levels of Noida area. His current areas of interest include Non-Linear Response History Analysis of reinforced concrete tall buildings, collapse simulations of RC framed structures with infills and comparison between Indian and American design and detailing codes. Prior to joining Optimum Design, Mr. Sharma worked with Michelin for three years at various locations around the globe.
Dr. AK Mittal earned his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Degrees from IIT Roorke. Dr. Mittal also holds a diploma in Earthquake Engineering from International Institute of Earthquake Engineering, Japan. Dr. Mittal is a member of IS 465, 1893 and 13920 codal committees. Dr. Mittal voluntarily retired as a Chief Engineer from CPWD. Dr. Mittal is a visiting faculty for earthquake engineering at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Dr. Mittal is considered as an expert on earthquake resistant design of tall building and is a respected figure in the industry. He supervises peer reviews, research and employee development for Optimum Design Pvt. Ltd.
